David Miller, the resident New Yorker from the multi-platinum musical group Il Divo, just married his former Broadway co-star (from La Boheme), Sarah Joy Kabanuck. The New York Times has a full report (and pictures) from the happy nuptials right here.
As we recently reported, Miller didn't want his bride to walk down the aisle to just any old wedding march. Instead, when the beautiful opera singer (who performed recently with the Hong Kong Opera Orchestra) Sarah Joy Kabanuck marched down the aisle, she walked to an original musical piece written by Miller himself. The 2-3 minute long piece will was performed by a string trio with a harp. Miller composed the piece in between U.S. concert dates of Il Divo's massive world tour in support of The Promise.
Since David and Sarah Joy met while performing opposite each other in Baz Lurhman's production of La Boheme on Broadway six years ago, the wedding will give several nods to their love of opera. Three of their favorite different operas will be represented in both food and décor - La Boheme, Madame Butterfly and La Traviata.
Immediately following the nuptuals, David and Il Divo will head to Japan, Singapore, China and Australia on a tour that extends into 2010.
