Theories have been circulating this week about how Idol fans need not wait until Thursday nights to figure out who will be voted off America's favorite reality competition. As quite a few publications have recently pointed out, the number of twitter followers each contestant has collected is a pretty clear indication of who is here to stay.

The standings as of earlier today were as follows: Casey Abrams - 30,349, Scotty McCreery - 28,752, Paul McDonald - 24,904, Lauren Alaina - 21, 265, Thia Megia - 21,032, Pia Toscano - 19,935, James Durbin - 18,922, Stefano Langone - 17,217, Jacob Lusk - 11,397, Karen Rodriguez - 10,844, Haley Reinhart - 10,622, Naima Adedapo - 9,674.

Ashton Jones, who was the first finalist to be voted off last week, had under 6,000 followers at the time of her elimination. So did this mean that Naima and Haley had reason to worry tonight? Read ahead to find out, and click here to follow your favorite contestants on Twitter!

The night kicked off not with a cheesy group medley, but a cheesy group mash-up. Wait, I thought GLEE was on Tuesdays nights... But for real, it was one of the better results show performances, featuring both "Born to be Wild" and "Born This Way."

Throughout the results show, Ryan slowly revealed that Haley Reinhart, Naima Adedapo, and Karen Rodriguez. WOW! Looks like the twitter theory might be more than just a theory! None of these ladies delivered great performances last night, so no surprises there.

Last season's winner Lee Dewyze returned to the Idol stage for the first time. What has he been up to for the past year, you ask? Well, apparently working on his new album which features the song "Beautiful Like You" (the song he sang tonight). The Black Eyed Peas also made an appearance, ‘singing' "I Just Can't Get Enough." Both performances were underwhelming.

As it turned out, Karen ended up with the least number votes this week, putting her on the spot to sing one last time on the Idol stage. Though the judges of course had the chance to save her from leaving the competition, they decided to save the ‘save' for later- though the decision wasn't unanimous (hmmm, I wonder who wanted her to stay...) And another one bites the dust.
