IDINA & FRIENDS BBC 2 Concert Now Available In Full!

Two of the world's most terrifically talented leading ladies will be joining together in song for this week's Friday Night Is Music Night concert, IDINA & FRIENDS on BBC 2 - Tony Award-winning WICKED, RENT and Glee notable Idina Menzel and super-special guest, legendary theatrical diva Elaine Paige - and it is now available to hear in full!

Just wait until you hear the WICKED medley - let's just say it has some outside OZ influences as well, too (hint: Judy Garland)!

Recorded April 24 at Hackney Empire, the two Florences of CHESS fame share a song or two, with Paige acting as one of the "friends" of the evening's title.

After all, Paige famously inspired the lead character in CHESS and starred on the concept album and in the inaugural West End mounting of the mega musical, while Menzel essayed the role at the spectacular recent Royal Albert Hall concert, which was recorded for DVD, CD and also broadcast on PBS.

Menzel joins the 60-piece BBC orchestra, conducted by Mike Dixon, for IDINA & FRIENDS, performing songs from her various theatrical endeavors - such as her Tony Award-winning work in WICKED, as well as RENT, AIDA and others; plus hits from Glee and her own solo albums - in the new live recording.

Menzel currently appears in a recurring role on the fourth season of FOX's hit musical dramedy series GLEE, which has just been renewed for two more seasons.
