Hugh Jackman and Sonia Friedman Make Time's List of 100 Most Influential People Image

TIME has just revealed the 2018 TIME 100, its annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world. The issue has six worldwide covers, each highlighting a member of the TIME 100: Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Kidman, Roger Federer, Tarana Burke, Satya Nadella, and Tiffany Haddish.

Also included in this year's list are stage and screen star Hugh Jackman and Broadway/West End producer Sonia Friedman.

Jackman's Les Miserables co-star Anne Hathaway writes: "I've never stopped and analyzed why I love Hugh Jackman. For me, it's like loving chocolate or puppies or rainbows: effortless. Yes, he can light up a room with a laugh or a smile; yes, he is a generous, consummate professional; and yes, he has that gift for entertaining that takes all your cares away."

Broadway veteran James Corden writes of Friedman: "She understands people, what makes them tick. She has an ability to cut through. As we spend more time on great digital experiences- endlessly absorbing content on various screens-we will start to crave great live experiences too. There is no one better to deliver them than Sonia Friedman."

The TIME 100 features often-surprising pairings of the list members and the guest contributors TIME selects to write about them. The fifteenth annual list includes: Steven Spielberg on Greta Gerwig, Barack Obama on the Parkland students, Adele on Rihanna, Jamie Dimon on Jeff Bezos, Lee Daniels on Jesmyn Ward, Elton John on Prince Harry, Priyanka Chopra on Meghan Markle, Lynda Carter on Gal Gadot, Cyndi Lauper on Kesha, Sheryl Sandberg on Jacinda Ardern, James Corden on Sonia Friedman, Michael Bloomberg on Sadiq Khan, Eddy Cue on Kevin Durant, Emeril Lagasse on José Andrés, Cecile Richards on Nancy Pelosi, and more.
