Hudgens & Tisdale Return for 'High School Musical 3'?

Us Magazine reports: "Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale will reprise their roles in the upcoming third installment of the hit movie High School Musical."  Officially, a Disney spokesperson has neither confirmed or denied the casting news. 

Zac Efron is rumored to return for the sequel.  According to their publicist, Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman are in final negotiations to join the third movie installment.

High School Musical 3 will be the first in the hit TV-movie series to have a national theatrical release.  Shooting is scheduled to begin in January 2008.

High School Musical 2 premiered on the Disney Channel on Friday, August 17 and became the highest rated original movie (ahead of its original incarnation the following year).  The Disney soundtrack immediately jumped to Billboard record sales.  High School Musical 2 stars Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Lucas Gabreel, Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman, Bart Johnson and Matthew Miles Carter, among others.
