Swiss luxury watch company Hublot will officially celebrate the grand opening of Las Vegas' only stand-alone Hublot Boutique inside The Forum Shops at Caesars on Friday, Sept. 28 at 1:30 p.m.  The world-renowned luxury watch retailer, which has a history of partnering with the biggest names in sports, including recent three gold medalist Usain Bolt and 2012 NBA Champion Miami HEAT, will celebrate not only the opening of its sleek and modern boutique, but also its recent partnership and collaboration with the World Boxing Council (WBC).

In March, , the two entities announced a new relationship and synergy that has resulted in the creation of 12 one-of-a-kind timepieces, (King Power World Boxing Council) each of which commemorates one of the 12 greatest boxers to grace the ring including legends: Lennox Lewis, Julio Cesar Chavez, Mike Tyson, Sugar Ray Leonard, George Foreman, Tommy Hearns, Roberto Duran, Oscar de la Hoya, Evander Holyfield, Azumah Nelson, Jeff Fenech and Larry Holmes. Besides showcasing the elegance and precision of these modern-day classic watches at their grand opening, Hublot has invited a few of the legendary boxing heroes to walk their unique red-carpet entrance/8' x 8' boxing ring. The legends will then be on-hand and in the ring for the boxing-themed ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The 12 unique pieces "King Power World Boxing Council" mimic the look of the iconic championship belt awarded to the world's best fighters. The appearance of each watch demonstrates a fierce blend of modernism with a bold, graphic design. Each is made of 18K King Gold with a powerful 48 mm diameter and presents iconic boxing features including the World Boxing symbol on the back case and the name of each of the fighters.

The day after the official ribbon cutting, on Sept. 29, Hublot and the World Boxing Council will host a one-time event that will unite the Boxing Legends and Champions to battle for the needs of boxers worldwide. The watches will be sold at an event in Las Vegas where the auction will begin at 9 PT on September 29, 2012. Bids for the unique timepieces can be placed in person at the event, live online, on the telephone or via absentee bid. All interested bidders are encouraged to preview of the unique timepieces http://www.bonhams.com/auctions/20968. Registration is currently underway for absentee bids and phone bidding. Those winning bidders present in Las Vegas will be invited to enter the ring and receive their watch from the fighter himself.

All proceeds from the sale of each watch will go to support the installation of a newly formed World Boxing Council retired boxer's pension and emergency funds in more than 40 countries around the world.
