Horse Trade Theater Group presents Sci Fi Screening Room: SUPERHERO Night! on Wednesday, March 18 @ 7:00 PM

Sci Fi Screening Room is a monthly showcase of offbeat videos, featuring a variety of cult classics and TV rarities. Previous events including Frankenstein Night! and KISS Night! have been named as a Voice Choice, Time Out NY Best Bet, Gothamist pick and highlighted in the New York Times' Urban Eye.

SUPERHERO Night! features scenes from Roger Corman's Fantastic Four (1994), David Hasselhoff's Nick Fury, and the Captain America movie starring JD Salinger's son. Cartoon segments include Thor: Invasion of the Lava Men (1966), Bigfoot Meets The Thing (1979) and The Galaxy Trio (1967).

Other oddities include Batman screen tests, Ed MacMahon hosting The Superheroes Roast, and scenes from the made-for-TV-movie of The Spirit. Plus PSAs with Swamp Thing and Superman, clips from the Justice League pilot and footage from Sid & Marty Krofft's Electra Woman & Dyna Girl.

The 2-hour video-variety show is hosted by Kevin Maher and Nick Nadel, with special guests James Dean Conklin (animator of Wonderman, seen on Comedy Central's TV Funhouse), Matthew K Manning (writer for Batman Strikes) and Alex Zalben (co-host of Comic Book Club.) Plus Fan Fiction, View-Master slides, trivia, prizes and cheap beer.
