Fox 5 TV and WWOR TV will present "Hooray For Broadway – A Spring Celebration," which will air on Fox 5 Saturday, March 18 from 6:30pm-7:30pm, and on WWOR TV Sunday, March 19 from 8:00pm-9:00pm. The one-hour special will feature some of Broadway's hottest shows, including Jersey Boys, The Pajama Game and Ring of Fire.
Jersey Boys is the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. Written by Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and directed by two-time Tony Award-winner Des McAnuff, the show stars John Lloyd Young as Frankie Valli, Daniel Reichard as Bob Gaudio, Christian Hoff as Tommy DeVito and J. Robert Spencer as Nick Massi. Jersey Boys is playing at Broadway's August Wilson Theatre (245 West 52nd Street, between Broadway and 8th Avenue).
Ring of Fire, featuring 38 of music legend Johnny Cash's songs such as "Country Boy," "A Thing Called Love," "Five Feet High and Rising," "Daddy Sang Bass," "Ring of Fire," "I Walk the Line," "I've Been Everywhere," "The Man in Black," and his final hit, "Hurt", was created by Tony Award-winner
Richard Maltby, Jr. and conceived by
William Meade.
