SMASH breakout star and beloved Broadway baby Megan Hilty talks about the upcoming SMASH series finale and reveals what her immediate post-series plans will be in a new interview.
So, what can diehard fans expect from the big finale on Sunday? "We have the greatest fans of the show and they're very, very loyal, but I hope that the season finale is satisfying for people," Hilty commented.
"I feel like it will be because they kind wrote it just in case it didn't get renewed, that it would wrap everything up. I think people will be pleased with it. It won't be like 'what would have happened?'" Hilty says of the cute coda on the ep and how the storylines are all wrapped up.
And, what about the music - always the best part of the SMASH universe? "There is this great duet that ends the whole thing called 'Big Finish' and Kat [McPhee] and I sing that. It's me and Kat and a bunch of male dancers looking fantastic and it's great. The lyrics are very poignant. It's very satisfying," Hilty said of the Marc Shaiman/Scott Wittman finale tune.
As for life after SMASH? "I just want to keep working," Hilty said.
"I'll be lucky to get to do anything. Now I'm able to look into what's next. I'm excited. Hopefully it's Broadway or maybe more TV. I don't know! Whoever will let me work!" the true-to-life bombshell candidly reveals.Check out the original article here.
