The High School of Arts and Technology at MLK is represented in the Fidelity FutureStage program by the selected play, Sacrifices For Life. In this video the play's student authors, cast and crew discuss the excitement and challenges of bringing the play to audiences.

In Sacrifices For Life the playwriting team of Carissa and Stephany create the dramatic story of two friends who must face the painful fact that they might have put a third friend in danger by their selfish actions. Jennifer, Carissa, Charlie, Ulices and Lissette make up the talented cast of student actors. The play also highlights the assistant directing work of Eric, stage management by Aram and the understudies, Akaisa and Anisha.

Fidelity FutureStage enables over 600 NYC students from 10 different public schools to get a real view into the world of Broadway theater. Students learn firsthand from industry professionals about acting, playwriting, directing and all the behind-the-scenes production. They also attend Broadway shows and each student writes a 10-minute play. Ultimately, one play from each school is chosen and performed by the students at New World Stages this June.
