The new Broadway musical High Fidelity will begin previews on November 20 prior to a December 7 opening at the Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street).

"A first-time collaboration between three talented young writers -- composer Tom Kitt, lyricist Amanda Green, and book-writer David Lindsay-Abaire, the Tony-nominated playwright -- High Fidelity is a new musical comedy based on the best-selling novel by Nick Hornby," state notes.

The show "tells the story of Rob, a record store owner who knows almost everything there is to know about pop music, but almost nothing about how to hold on to a girl. Rob's love life, already a broken record of heartache, falls off the charts completely when he gets dumped by Laura….but that just sets him up for one of the top 5 romantic comebacks ever."

High Fidelity stars Will Chase (Lennon, Rent and Aida) as Rob and Jenn Colella (Urban Cowboy) as Laura.  They are joined in the 14-member cast by Jay Klaitz as Barry and Christian Anderson as Dick (who play the colorful clerks in Rob's record store Championship Vinyl), Jeb Brown as Ian (Rob and Laura's New Age-intensive upstairs neighbor), as well as Rachel Stern, Emily Swallow, Kirsten Wyatt, Caren Lyn Manuel and Anne Warren (who portray the women from Rob's checkered romantic past). The denizens of Championship Vinyl are portrayed by Jon Patrick Walker, Justin Brill, Andrew C. Call and Matt Caplan.

High Fidelity is choreographed by Christopher Gattelli (Altar Boyz, Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me), with set design by Anna Louizos (Avenue Q), costume design by Theresa Squire (The Lieutenant of Inishmore), lighting design by Tony-winner Ken Billington (Chicago) and sound design by Acme Sound Partners (Avenue Q).

Sonny Everett and Mariano Tolentino, Jr. are associate producers.

High Fidelity will perform Tuesdays through Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 2 and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 and 7 p.m. Tickets will range in price from $41.25 to $111.25, and can be reserved by calling Telecharge at 212-239-6200, or online at www.telecharge.com.
