Her Song, a revue celebrating the work of female composers and lyricists, will open at Birdland (315 W. 44th St., between 8th and 9th Avenues) on September 24th. 

The show has been playing in previews since May 5th.  It stars Gabrielle Lee, Kate Manning, Kelly McCormick, Trisha Rapier, Gabrielle Stravelli, Heidi Weyhmueller and Emma Zaks; Dori Levitt directs.  With a book by Brenda Levitt and musical direction by Barry Levitt, the show was co-conceived by the two.

Katharine Lee Bates, Nora Bayes, Marilyn Bergman, Betty Comden, Dorothy Fields, Ellie Greenwich, Billie Holliday, Carolyn Leigh, Peggy Lee, Edith Piaf, Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Nicks, Dolly Parton, Carly Simon, Donna Summer and Cynthia Weil are among the women whose music and/or lyrics are featured in Her Song.
