Since last Thursday was Thanksgiving, tonight will likely be the first time this season that you are going to be experiencing the severe symptoms of acute #TGIT withdraw. Unfortunately, after the November Sweeps period ended, ABC and Shonda Rhimes are keeping her doctors, gladiators, and murderers on the shelf until February 11th, when another sweeps period is in full effect.

So, to help ween you off of your OPA addiction (you can't just quit Olivia cold turkey, ask Jake and Fitz), I have assembled a group of clips that show your favorite SCANDAL stars in a slightly different light than you are accustomed to, namely, singing showtunes!

Kerry Washington

Many people don't know that SCANDAL star Kerry Washington played Nina in one of the first readings of IN THE HEIGHTS. Eight years later, Jordin Sparks made her Broadway debut in the exact same role! Even though they don't give Lin-Manuel Miranda a shoutout, here the two are dueting to "A Whole New World":

Even though she's made her fame on screens large and small, Kerry is a Broadway baby at heart, literally. Need proof? When pushed for what song her mother sang to her as a child, she busts out into "Bushel and a Peck" from GUYS AND DOLLS:

Bellamy Young

Long before Mellie hitched her wagon to the Fitzgerald Grant train, Bellamy Young was a working musical theatre actress. After a number of out of town shows, Amy Young (as she was known at one point in her professional life) played Meg in the Off-Broadway revival of MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG and then starred as a hooker who loved her job in Cy Coleman's Tony-winning musical, THE LIFE.

Here she is singing "Easy Money" from the Original Broadway production alongside Tony-nominee, and STAR SEARCH champion, Sam Harris (also check out a version of her singing the song at the 54 Below reunion concert earlier this year):

At an arts education benefit in Los Angeles in 2010, Bellamy sang the musical theatre song most likely to discourage anyone from ever pursuing a career as an actress, "Summer in Ohio" from Jason Robert Brown's THE LAST FIVE YEARS:

Tony Goldwyn

When your grandfather is literally the "G" in MGM, you have some options if you want to pursue a career in show business. Many people first took note of Tony as the duplicitous best friend in GHOST, the movie, not the musical, but he has been a consistent presence on screen for over 25 years.

He also occasionally mixes in some stage work, including his Broadway debut in 1995's HOLIDAY and seven Off-Broadway plays, mostly recently, Theresa Rebeck's THE WATER'S EDGE in 2006, alongside Kate Burton, who would go on to play his TV Vice President. However, he made his Broadway musical debut opposite Kristin Chenoweth and Sean Hayes in the 2010 revival of PROMISES, PROMISES.

Tony in the studio recording the PROMISES, PROMISES cast album:

Goldwyn with Tony-nominee Hayes sang "It's Our Little Secret" on Jimmy Fallon's old LATE NIGHT show:

Katie Lowes

While SCANDAL's Quinn, Katie Lowes, has yet to make her professional New York stage debut, she is undoubtedly a theatre girl through and through. Along with her husband, actor Adam Shapiro, she is the founder and director of the IAMA Theatre Company in Los Angeles. Lowes and Shapiro are also very big karaoke fans as she has often discussed with Ellen Degeneres.

At a benefit for IAMA last year, Katie killed the audience with an incredible rendition of CABARET's "Maybe This Time":

In 2013, Katie paired with actress Samantha Shelton to duet on "Falling Slowly" from ONCE to benefit Breast Cancer Research organization What A Pair:

By the way, IAMA is having a concert at Rockwell Table and Stage in Los Angeles this weekend. If you are in Hollywood, you might just want to check it out, because based on their previous shows, you never know who might show up!
