Casting is complete for the upcoming Berkshire Theatre Festival staging of Wendy Wasserstein's Pulitzer Prize-winning The Heidi Chronicles, running from August 15th through September 2nd.

Joining the previously announced Kate Jennings Grant (Proof, An American Daughter) and Scott Lowell ("Queer as Folk") will be Jenn Harris (Modern Orthodox, Silence! The Musical), Patricia Buckley (Flesh and Blood), Christopher Corts (Dr. Sex), Laura Heisler (A Mother, A Daughter and a Gun), Lynn Hawley (Venus, The Illusion), and Tom Story.  Maria Mileaf will direct the production.

"Winner of the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize, this witty, moving play traces the coming of age of professor Heidi Holland and her Baby Boomer friends as they struggle to reconcile their feminist ideals with the realities of careers, lovers and motherhood," state press notes on the most famous play by Wasserstein, whose other works include The Sisters Rosensweig and Uncommon Women and Others.  Wasserstein passed away this January at the age of 55.

The original 1989 production of The Heidi Chronicles ran for 622 performances and starred Joan Allen, Peter Friedman, Boyd Gaines, Joanne Camp, Cynthia Nixon and more; Gaines won a Tony Award for his work.
