Harper Collins to Release Digital Holiday Picture Books

HarperCollins Children's Books announced today that more than 30 of its most beloved picture books are available as e-books in time for the holidays. For the first time, Fancy Nancy, Splat the Cat, and that feisty dog Marley can be viewed digitally on the iPad, iPod touch, and iPhone through the Apple iBookstore and on NOOKcolor by Barnes & Noble.

"We are thrilled that our most enduring picture book characters are available digitally in time for the holidays. We worked scrupulously to ensure that the digital reading experience upholds the quality of the print book," said Susan Katz, President and Publisher of HarperCollins Children's Books. "For the first time, we are seeing a successful translation of picture books to the digital format. As more people embrace digital reading, we want to ensure that our authors' and illustrators' works are available in new formats for families to enjoy."
