The underground comic revolution will raise its immigrant fist and hit Comix (353 W. 14th St.) on Monday, June 18th. at 8 PM.

University of Illinois alums Matthew-Lee Erlbach (Writer/Director) and Jesse Raynes (Producer/Praxis Productions) continue with a new show of their "'Mr. Show, with Bob and David' meets 'South Park' socio-political satire," Happy Sunshine Kung Fu Flower. The evening will feature the talents of Lynn Andrews, Heath Calvert, Colette Hawley, Brooke Ishibashi, Stephen Sheffer, Stephen Reyes and Vince Madero.  Ian Aster-Wehrle provides music arrangement.

After a sold-out standing room-only event of over 250 people for their last show, the people at Comix and The Onion are very excited to be a part of giving "the little orphan satire that could" a new home.

"This multimedia sketch comedy with music follows a group of outsourced Japanese Ninjas hired by China to infiltrate the American Psyche by taking on roles in the Media, Pop Culture, and Politics," state press notes.  Happy Sunshine Kung Fu Flower is proudly sponsored by The Onion.
