The Hangar Theatre's Pilot Reading Series in NYC continues with In a Little Room , a new play by Pete McElligott. The reading is Monday, October 24th at 7:00pm at One-on-One Studios, 34 W 27th St. 11th Floor (between Broadway & 6th Avenue) and will be directed by Stephanie Yankwitt, the Hangar's Co- Associate Artistic Director in charge of new works.

In a Little Room is the story of two strangers trapped in the cold comforts of a hospital waiting room while feebly attempting to restart their lives and failing fantastically. The cast includes are Dashiell Eaves (A Behanding in Spokane, Coram Boy, The Lieutenant of Inishmore), Trevor Long (LAByrinth Theater Company member, Unconditional at The Public) and Ted K?ch (Elling, The Pillowman)
The Hangar Pilot Reading Series, held every month in Manhattan, offers new and established playwrights a chance to work on their new plays with Hangar alumni, directors, and actors. Notable artists who have participated in the Reading Series include Kristoffer Diaz (Pulitzer finalist, The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity), director & Hangar alum Lisa Peterson, & Rebecca Naomi Jones (Passing Strange & American Idiot).

BIOGRAPHIES
Pete McElligott is an actor, writer, and teacher. A Chicago native, he started writing full shows in his sophomore year of high school, performing them in the St. Mary's of Mokena Auditorium with proceeds going to the Catholic Charities' Orphanage. While not entirely appropriate for their setting or purpose, these benefit shows were well received and helped raise almost a thousand dollars per show. These shows included: Beware: Sleeping Raccoon (2003), Hijacking Pies (2002), and 7 Tons of Harold and a Breakfast Buffett (2001). During college, Pete would return to Chicago as a performer and head writer of the comedy group The Back of The Line The group performed in the Chicago Sketch Fest in 2006 earning them a glowing review in the Chicago Tribune ("Best group to watch in the future. Terrific writers."). While in New York, attending NYU, Pete's show Wake(2005) was chosen for a GAP production and was produced at the Shop Theater in the Tisch Building. Post college, Pete spent most of his time in New Orleans where his two ten-

?minute plays saw production (Not to Be at Le Chat Noir and Double Hockey Sticks at The Alamo Underground). In 2009, Pete's full-?length comedy With A Bang was chosen to be a part of the Cross-town Reading Series in New Orleans. It was then chosen by the National New Play Network to be given a reading at their conference in Atlanta in the winter of that same year. With A Bang received production in March of 2010 by the Southern Repertory Theater and that production received a National Endowment of the Arts grant. The Phoenix Theater in Indianapolis produced the show again in July of 2011 and announced their plan to produce the rest of the shows in that trilogy (With A Whimper and With A Smile).

Ted K?ch Ted was last seen at 59E59 Theaters Summer Shorts in the world premiere of Alexander Dinelaris's play In This, Our Time. Mr. K?ch's Broadway credits include Death of a Salesman (dir, Robert Falls), The Pillowman (dir, John Crowley), Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (dir, Anthony Page), Elling (dir, Doug Hughes) and he has toured nationally with the Broadway productions of Frost/Nixon (starring Stacy Keach) and Death of a Salesman (with Brian Dennehy). Off-Broadway, Ted has worked with Naked Angels, The Cherry Lane Theater and Shotgun Productions. His extensive regional theatre credits include: The Front Page and Sweet Bird of Youth (Williamstown Theatre Festival), True West, (Arena Stage, Helen Hayes nomination for Best Actor), A Streetcar Named Desire (Buffalo Studio Arena), Whisper House, Pig Farm and Sea of Tranquility (The Old Globe Theatre) and The Fair Maid of the West and Orphans (CT-20 Ensemble, of which he was a founding member). Stephanie Yankwitt (Hangar Associate Artistic Director: Head of Casting & New Works) Over the past three years, Stephanie has cast over a dozen plays & musicals at the Hangar including August Wilson's Gem of the Ocean starring Lizan Mitchell, Ever So Humble starring Andrea Burns, the regional premiere of RENT starring Eric Jordan Young, and David Mamet's November, a play she also assisted on it's world premiere with Mr. Mamet and Joe Mantello. In addition to casting at the Hangar, Stephanie has cast for Hartford Stage, Atlantic Stage 2, Ars Nova, Second Stage Uptown, and Actors Theatre of Louisville - working on mostly new plays, which is her passion. Stephanie has helped to develop by both Casting and Directing, over 30 new plays including playwrights Alan Ball, Craig Wright, Laura Eason, Anton Dudley, Kristoffer Diaz, and Bekah Brunstetter. Stephanie started casting at Bernie Telsey Casting in 2003. She currently teaches at NYU Tisch School of the Arts/Stella Adler Studio.

Peter Flynn (Director/Hangar Artistic Director) Directing credits at the Hangar include the world premiere of Tim Pinckney's Ever So Humble starring Andréa Burns, Dirty Blonde starring Tony nominee Emily Skinner, David Mamet's November starring Broadway veteran Wally Dunn, Penelope of Ithaca with local luminary Susannah Berryman, and Man of La Mancha starring Richard Adams & Natascia Diaz. Recent credits include Guys & Dolls starring Andréa Burns, Shine! starring Hangar alum Bill Ryall, and Barrio Grrrl! for the Kennedy Center. Broadway credits: Actors Fund concerts of On the 20th Century, Chess with Josh Groban, and Funny Girl with Whoopi Goldberg. Off-Broadway credits: Lee Blessing's Two Rooms at Lion Theatre; Henry & Mudge, and Junie B. Jones, nominated for Lucille Lortel Award - Best Musical, and Rhapsody in Seth at Actors' Playhouse starring Seth Rudetsky.
