More stars have joined The National Foundation for Facial Reconstruction's benefit (NFFR) "Broadway for Medicine," a gala concert featuring the best of Broadway coming together on one stage to benefit children.  The event will take place on Monday, March 12, 2007 beginning at New York City Center for the performance followed by a dinner and live auction at Mandarin Oriental.  The evening begins at 7:00 PM.

The night will include a celebration of sensational Broadway songs under the artistic direction of Carl Andress and music direction of Grammy and Emmy-award winner John McDaniel (Brooklyn, "The Rosie O'Donnell Show").  The star-studded concert will feature performances by Charles Busch, Tyne Daly, Manoel Felciano, Malcolm Gets, Deborah Gibson, Joanna Gleason, Julie Halston, Judy Kuhn, Andrea McArdle, Donna McKechnie and Rosie's Broadway Kids and many more.

The Honorees for the evening will be Valery Gergiev, David Parsons and Ermenegildo Zegna.

A live auction to raise funds for specific medical procedures will be held at the dinner and hosted by Sotheby's Jamie Niven.

Since its inception in 1951, the mission of the NFFR has been to enable children with craniofacial deformities to receive the surgery they need in order to leady healthy, fulfilling lives.  In 1955, the NFFR founded the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery (IRPS) at NYU Medical Center in New York City, which has become one of the most innovative craniofacial centers in the world for research, education and patient care.  Over 1,000 children are diagnosed and treated at the IRPS every year, regardless of the severity of their condition or their families' ability to afford medical care.  This is achieved both through NFFR funding and through the generosity of the Institute doctors, who provide free appointments, surgeries and follow-up treatment.  More than 55,000 patients have been treated in the past 50 years.

$25-$120 concert performance seats at New York City Center are available through CityTix: 212.581.1212 or online at www.nycitycenter.org.  Visit www.nffr.org for more on NFFR.
