Entertainment Weekly's Ausiello Files reports today that HAl Holbrook just recently finished filming a guest stint on NBC's The Event. The series, an upcoming American conspiracy thriller was created by Nick Wauters. It is scheduled to premiere Monday, September 20, 2010 at 9 pm/8c.
Holbrook reportedly plays the mysterious 'Dempsey.' The series regularly stars Jason Ritter, Blair Underwood, Laura Innes, Sarah Roemer, Zeljko Ivanek, Ian Anthony Dale, Scott Patterson, Buchanan
Clifton Collins Jr., Bill Smitrovich, Lisa Vidal and Taylor Cole.
Holbrook's television roles include Abraham Lincoln in the 1976 TV series Lincoln, Hays Stowe on The Bold Ones: The Senator and Capt. Lloyd Bucher on Pueblo. He is also known for his role in the 2007 film Into the Wild, for which he was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award and an Academy Award. He won a Tony Award for Mark Twain Tonight! Additional Broadway credits include I Never Sang For My Father, An American Daughter, The Apple Tree and many more.
