Entertainer, vocalist and jazz aficionado Keith A. Dames presents his annual celebration of Billie Holiday at "Homage To Eleanora" on Friday, April 8 & Saturday, April 9th at Manna House Workshops (338 E. 106th Street) in East Harlem at 7:30pm. Dames - who has appeared at Harlem on 5th, Stage 72, The Triad, & The Metropolitan Room - will be joined by pianist Lafayette Harris Jr who has performed with such stellar jazz talents as Max Roach, Houston Person, Ernestine Anderson, and in the orchestra of the Broadway musicals "Bring In Da Noise, Bring In Da Funk" (asst. conductor & keyboards) and "The Color Purple" (pianist).
The show, which honors the late jazz legend (born Eleanora Fagan on April 7), is produced by SeMad Productions & Highway Productions In Association With Down Stage Pass.
