Brooklyn The Musical
, Kenneth Cole Productions and HELP USA will continue an on-going relationship throughout the year in an attempt to find synergistic ways to support one another.

Brooklyn The Musical
is a new Broadway production by Mark Schoenfeld and Barri McPherson with Direction by Jeff Calhoun & Music Supervision, Arrangements and Orchestrations by John McDaniel.  The cast features Kevin Anderson, Cleavant Derricks, Eden Espinosa, Ramona Keller and Karen Olivo.
The creator of Brooklyn The Musical, Mark Schoenfeld, was a homeless street performer when the seed for this original Broadway musical was planted.  Performances begin on Thursday, September 23rd, 2004 at the Plymouth Theatre (236 West 45th Street).

"We are so thrilled at HELP USA to be associated with such a talented group of writers and performers.  This production is magical.  HELP USA's mission is to help homeless families achieve their dreams and regain their lives mirrors Mark Schoenfeld's own personal story and the themes in this wonderful new show. " says Maria Cuomo Cole.

"I was always a fan of Kenneth Cole's social activism from the first time I walked by his Columbus Avenue store and saw his campaign in the window" said Jeff Calhoun. 'We think to be aware is more important than what you wear!' We want our Broadway production to follow in Kenneth's 'shoes' and find the balance between a commercial venture and social responsibility. The fact that Kenneth and Maria Cuomo Cole have dedicated their lives to housing the homeless makes us proud to form a partnership at this time."

John McDaniel added "We are thrilled to have created a relationship with HELP USA and Kenneth Cole.  Given the subject matter of Brooklyn, it seems fitting and inspiring to partner with such fine advocates of rehabilitating our homeless."
