Time Out New York reports that event planners Secret Formula is offering fans of the film version of John Cameron Mitchell's "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" a chance to celebrate the work with a sing-along tonight, May 26th, at The Bell House in Park Slope, Brooklyn. The cult classic movie tells the story of a transgender punk-rock star from East Berlin. The film was among the top winners of the 2001 Sundance Film Festival.
Organizers of the event are encouraging audience participants to throw on fishnets and a bouffant blond wig to partake in a night of costume contests, trivia, themed drinks and the singing of "The Origin of Love" among other hit songs.
Hedwig and the Angry Inch Sing-Along will take place at The Bell House located at 149 Seventh St. between Second and Third avenues in Gowanus.
Doors will open at 7 pm for the 8 pm sing-along.
