HEARTBEAT OF HOME Cast Recording Set for Release Next Week

Decca/Universal Music Classics announce the digital release of the Cast Recording of Heartbeat of Home, available March 4th on iTunes and all Digital Partners. Having made its North American premiere this past January at Toronto's Ed Mirvish Theatre, in the coming months the international tour will play engagements in Chicago, Detroit and Boston. For those who aren't able to make it to a live show, Heartbeat of Home will be part of special programming set to premiere on PBS stations beginning March 1st, 2014 (check local listings).

From the producers of the highly acclaimed phenomenon Riverdance, Heartbeat of Home is a brand new tantalizing, high octane, sexy, music and dance extravaganza. This heart-stopping tour de force features the dynamic, vibrant components of traditional Irish, Latin and Afro-Cuban music and dance. Three years in the making, Heartbeat of Home is produced by Moya Doherty, conceived and directed by John McColgan and features a new and electrifying score written by Golden Globe-nominated composer Brian Byrne with concept development and lyrics by award-winning writer Joseph O'Connor.

With a world-class company of 27 dancers and 10 musicians, the high-energy production employs cutting-edge projection technology to create a dream world of joyous, heart-stopping music and dance. Heartbeat of Home takes place in a dreamland of oceans and starlight, in neon-shining cities of the 21st century and in epic, open spaces. Irish dancers share the stage with Afro-Cuban and Latin dancers taking leave of their homelands - Ireland, Africa, Spain - as they journey over wild seas towards a new land of opportunity where music and dance, the only true international languages, join together in celebration, telling stories of survival, courage and passion.
