Following the participation of Edward Albee, Liv Ullmann, Placido Domingo, Bill T. Jones and Jacques d'Amboise along with other artistic notables in previous seasons of the arts-based series, HBO and the National YoungArts Foundation will continue its educational YoungArts MASTERCLASS series with a spotlight on two-time Tony Award-winning theatrical legend Patti LuPone today, April 1.
MASTERCLASS is billed by HBO as such:
"Every year, thousands of high-school students from around the country audition for the National YoungArts Foundation program, which offers the chance to be mentored by some of the world's greatest artists in an intimate, interactive classroom environment. The nine-part HBO Family documentary series 'YoungArts MasterClass' chronicles this unique program. In each episode, a world-class artist talks intimately with a small group of exceptionally talented teenagers. The artist, in turn, is reminded that these encounters are a two-way street, with the teacher re-learning important truths from eager students."

Patti LuPone joins a starry assortment of participants in the second season of the HBO series, including opera grande dame Renee Fleming, playwright John Guare and musician Bobby McFerrin.
