HB Studio Presents HERBERT BERGHOF: A BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

HB Studio, one of New York's legendary institutions for theater training and practice located in the heart of the West Village, will present Herbert Berghof: A BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION on September 13, 2017 in the HB Playwrights Theatre, featuring a reading of A Betrothal by Lanford Wilson, starring *Rochelle Oliver, *George Morfogen, and directed by *Austin Pendleton.

A Betrothal is dedicated by Lanford Wilson as a valentine to Berghof and his wife and partner, Uta Hagen, exploring an encounter between two rivals at a flower breeders' competition. A Betrothal is presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York.

The evening will also feature readings from Herbert's letters, remembering him through his own words and reflections. Benefit proceeds will support HB Studio's world-renowned training, practice and development programs for aspiring and professional theater artists.
