HAMILTON Already Brings in Over $10M in Broadway Ticket Sales!

The world premiere production of Hamilton, inspired by the book "Alexander Hamilton" by Ron Chernow, with book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda and directed by Thomas Kail opened February 17, 2015 at the Public Theater. The show is set to run through May 3rd at the Public Theater before it heads to Broadway's Richard Rodgers theater to begin previews on July 13th.

Now according to the New York Times, the musical, which has already broken box office records in its off-Broadway run, has sold a whopping $6.5 million in Broadway tickets, in just eleven days at the box office. An additional $4 million has already been purchased in group sales. Producer Jeffrey Seller told NYT: "Every so often a show comes around that everybody wants to see. This show is striking a chord."
