New York's plans for a "Happy" Halloween were thwarted last week, as Hurricane Sandy unleashed a very different type of fear upon the big apple – but today, November 10th, children and adults say they'll decide when Halloween is over with HALLOWEEN TOO: TAKE BACK THE FEAR – a second chance to party like it's October 31st!
Because the LES lacked a proper Halloween, Killers: A Nightmare Haunted House and local merchants have banded together to give the neighborhood another crack at it. All businesses with a "WE ARE A HALLOWEN TOO PARTICIPANT" sign in their windows will be passing out candy between 4-7PM on Saturday, November 10th. In addition to these signs, Nightmare Haunted House will list the merchants on their promotions page with addresses so that families can effectively trick 'r treat. Nearly 40 merchants are participating, and that list is growing. Economy Candy on Rivington St. has already donated 100 lbs of candy. A full list is available online at www.hauntedhousenyc.com/promotions.
Additionally, adults can celebrate Halloween by getting a super cheap $20 ticket to Killers: A Nightmare Haunted House between 10-11PM on 11/10 if they come in costume then stay for the Halloween party afterward at The Suffolk Bar, located inside of the Haunted House at 107 Suffolk Street - where there will be deejays and 2-for-1 drink specials.
Killers: A Nightmare Haunted House is located at the Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center, 107 Suffolk Street between Rivington and Delancey on Manhattan's Lower East Side. For more information, visit www.hauntedhousenyc.com.
