Direct from an acclaimed national tour and sold-out Off-Broadway engagement is the return of Extraordinary Deceptions: A Magical Holiday Extravaganza performed by 'Magic' Michael Gutenplan at the Lion Theatre on Theatre Row (410 W 42nd St) from December 19 through 30, 2006.

"An evening of magic, mystery and illusion, Extraordinary Deceptions: A Magical Holiday Extravaganza, should not a typical 'magic show.' Prepare to be amazed as 'Magic' Michael performs magic right before your eyes, from champagne and Christmas trees appearing to mind reading and oh, yes, an audience member sawed in half.  Designed to entertain the entire family, Extraordinary Deceptions is filled with fun, magic, and will send the audience home with a sense of amazement and lasting memories," according to press materials.

A Roslyn, NY native, 'Magic' Michael Gutenplan is a professional magician now residing on the Upper West Side.  For over the past decade Magic Michael has performed his original and unique magic across the country and abroad in London, Israel and Spain.  A graduate of the Berkshire School and Carnegie-Mellon with a degree in Directing, Michael has worked at MSNBC, MTV, CBS's As The World Turns and is co-founder of the Guest Service Network.
