Gutenberg! The Musical! to Close Off-Bway May 6

Gutenberg! The Musical! - the critically acclaimed off-Broadway comedy - will play its final performance at The Actors' Playhouse on Sunday, May 6th at 7pm.

During its six-month Off-Broadway run, the production will have played a total of 173 performances (159 regular performances and 14 previews). Gutenberg! The Musical! opened as a six-week run at 59E59 Theaters in November 2006, before transferring to The Actors' Playhouse in January 2007 

Gutenberg! The Musical! has been nominated for the 2007 Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Musical and the 2007 Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding New Off-Broadway Musical. Its authors, Scott Brown and Anthony King, have been nominated for the 2007 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Book of a Musical; and its director, Alex Timbers, has been nominated for the 2007 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Director of a Musical.

Original cast members Jeremy Shamos and Christopher Fitzgerald will reunite to perform an excerpt from the production at the Lortel Awards ceremony on Monday 7th May.

Directed by Obie Award-winner Alex Timbers, Gutenberg! The Musical! currently stars Darren Goldstein as "Doug Simon" and Helen Hayes Award Nominee David Turner as "Bud Davenport."

The performance schedule for Gutenberg! The Musical!  is as follows: Tuesday through Friday at 8:00 P.M., Saturday at 7:00 and 10:00 P.M., and Sunday at 3:00 and 7:00 P.M., through Sunday, May 6.
