On March 10th at 11 AM, Jonathan Groff will help to ring in the springtime with an upcoming appearance at the Tourneau store on 57th Street in Manhattan.

The daytime savings celebration annually enlists a celebrity to preside over the winding forward of over 8,000 watches at Tourneau, a luxury watch company that has been in existence for about a century.

The actor, who has previously been seen on Broadway in In My Life, plays Melchior in the hit Broadway musical Spring Awakening.  Other credits include a national tour of The Sound of Music, and regional productions of Fame, Bat Boy, Godspell and Honk!.  It was recently announced that he will be joining the cast of "One Life to Live" in a recurring role, beginning this April.

Spring Awakening is based on the play by Franz Wedekind.  The critically acclaimed musical, which premiered at the Atlantic Theatre Company, currently plays the Eugene O'Neill Theatre.  The show "boldly depicts a dozen young people and how they make their way through the thrilling, complicated, confusing and mysterious time of their sexual awakening. Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater's score feature songs that illuminate the urgency of adolescent self-discovery, the burning intensity of teen friendships and the innate suspicion of the uncomprehending adult world."
