Gretna Theatre Announces Local Season Auditions

Larry Frenock, Producing Artistic Director; Christian Saint-Girard, Casting Director; Louis F. Goldberg and Ray Rhoads, Musical Directors announce local open auditions for Gretna Theatre's 2010 season.

Seeking triple-threat actor/singer/dancers, especially seeking excellent local character actors to play ages 45 -60, and children for featured roles, particularly boys who can play ages 8 - 12, and a girl to play ages 9-10. Allroles available (all children's roles and many adult roles will be cast locally) for shows that include "The Marvelous Wonderettes" (runs June 10 - 13, director/choreographer Stephen Nachamie), "The Will RogersFollies" (runs June 17 - 20, director/choreographer DJ Salisbury), "The 25 th Annual Putnam County SpellingBee" (runs June 24 - 27, director/choreographer Jason Summers), "Peter Pan" (runs July 1 - 11, director DennisCourtney, choreographer Judy Williams-Henry), Mr. Hobbs' Vacation (runs July 15 - 18) and "Mame" (runsJuly 22 - 31, director/choreographer Scott Thompson). Acting and technical theatre internships are alsoavailable.

Please do not call or submit by email unless it is impossible for you to attend this open call. Note thatwe cannot cast actors without an audition.

Local Open Auditions will be held at the Mt. Gretna Fire Hall, Mt. Gretna, PA on Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Sign-up list for audition time slots will begin at 9:00 am - unofficial lists will not behonored. Please do not call for appointments as they will not be scheduled ahead of time. Final callbacks willbe held as needed in mid-March by appointment only.
