Green Spark Productions to Present HERE WE DANCE

Green Spark Productions will present the world premiere of Here We Dance, a devised immersive theatrical fairytale party directed by S. Dylan Zwickel featuring live music by The Rooks and inspired by the Grimm's fairytale The Twelve Dancing Princesses.

Every night, the King locks his twelve daughters in their room, and every morning he discovers that their shoes are inexplicably worn through as if they've been dancing all night.... until the night a young Star Gazer who works in the palace garden follows the princesses through a trapdoor in hopes of uncovering their secret. Join the princesses and the Star Gazer on their journey into a magical world where trees are made of diamonds and the party never stops, and discover what happens when that world is threatened in this theatrical fairytale party.

"When you're at a party, every single person present is having their own individual experience, but we're so fixated on our own that we don't realize the millions of implications and nuances that that environment, which has existed in some form or other for thousands of years in every society on earth, carries with it," said director S. Dylan Zwickel. "I wanted to give people the opportunity to see a dozen different ways a party can be experienced and discover new details of their role in our lives and our society."

Performances are at 7:30pm and 10:30pm on Friday, August 21st and Saturday, August 22nd at Redwood Studios. Redwood Studios is located just steps from the F and G trains at Smith-9th Street.
