Greater Boston Stage Company Presents The Family-Friendly TINY TIM'S CHRISTMAS CAROL Image

Greater Boston Stage Company proudly announces Tiny Tim's Christmas Carol, a joyful, family-friendly spin on a holiday classic. Tiny Tim is determined to have his father home for Christmas day even if it means teaching Ebenezer Scrooge a lesson in Christmas cheer. Adapted from the classic Charles Dickens' novel by Tony Award winner Ken Ludwig ('Twas the Night Before Christmas) and his son Jack, this heartwarming hour-long Christmas tale is full of family fun for all ages. Directed by Sarah Elizabeth Bedard, performances run December 8 - 23, 2018.

Says Bedard, "A Christmas Carol has always been one of my favorite holiday stories. It teaches us the power of kindness and reminds us of our potential to change. In Tiny Tim's Christmas Carol, I love the fact that children drive this story. Children teach us to be open to what life has to offer. They teach us to have wide eyes of wonderment and hearts filled with joy and laughter. They remind us to live in the moment and share our happiness-and our snacks-with others."

Tiny Tim's Christmas Carol cast features Steven Barkhimer, Bridgette Hayes, Alex Jacobs, Paul Melendy, and Young Company Members John Pagliarulo and Toni Turilli.

The design team is comprised of Scenic Designer Sarah Rozene, Lighting Designer Kayleigha Zawacki, Costume Designer Chelsea Kerl, and Props Master Lauren Corcuera. The Music Coordinator is Lea Peterson.

Greater Boston Stage Company is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and accessible environment for all. A sensory-friendly performance of Tiny Tim's Christmas Carol will be offered on December 15, 2018 at 2:00pm. Director of Education, Dori Robinson, who is overseeing the performance explains, "The sensory-friendly production of Tiny Tim's Christmas Carol is a modified performance to create a more welcoming space for individuals with sensory-input disorders, including autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, and a range of cognitive abilities. There will be modifications throughout the theatre that create a friendly and supportive environment, encouraging patrons to experience the magic of theatre in their own way. Families, friends and caregivers of individuals with sensory-input disorders are also encouraged to attend." GBSC is proud to be an official Theatre Development Fund National Autism Friendly Performance Training Program Partner.
