The new pre-Broadway musical NERO, written by Australian-based composer and writer Graeme McEwen, will offer a one-time 35-minute special presentation at The Playroom Theatre (151 West 46th Street, 8th Floor) at 4:00pm on Thursday, July 14, 2016.

Twists and turns abound in the Rome of Nero and his court. Filled with intrigue, forbidden love, power and its misuse, NERO takes audiences to Rome's theaters, orgies, back rooms and the palace of the Emperor, including the hell fire that burned Rome to the ground as Nero famously strummed his lyre and sang.

This special presentation of NERO will be led by jazz artist Andromeda Turre, a 2008 Grammy Award nominee for Best Vocal Jazz Album. She will be joined by John Arthur Greene (American Idol Season 15; Broadway: School of Rock, Matilda, West Side Story), Michael Lanning (Broadway and National Tour of The Civil War; Tran Siberian Orchestra), Justin McEllroy (Off-Broadway: Evening-1910, Sayonara), and Jonathan Shew (Kathleen Marshall's Diner, Wicked National Tour, Radio City Spring Spectacular).

Multi-award-winning Australian-born composer Warren Wills will direct and musical direct the 35-minute presentation. Mr. Willis's diverse achievements range from the West End hit, Olivier nominated, Simply Heavenly, the critically acclaimed Genesis to Broadway in Melbourne (genesistobroadway.com.au) to organizing the World Premiere for 2,000 professionals and amateurs alike at the Forth Rail Bridge Centenary Celebrations, to working with RSC, Woody Allen, 28 albums out worldwide (see Warren Wills iTunes, or elevenfingers.com.au), the world premiere Pinmoney Opera, for which he won the Carling London Best Musical Award. He has music directed and composed for Sheila Ferguson, Pamela Anderson in Aladdin, Ilham al Madfai, and has 25 albums out worldwide for Prestige Records on iTunes.

Seating for this one-time presentation is available by emailing Geoffrey Cohen at GeoffreyMCohen@gmail.com. Seating is limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis.
