Less Than Rent Theatre presents Pussy Sludge, a new play written by Gracie Gardner as part of SANCTUARY. Pussy Sludge begins this Friday February 10th at 8:30pm. The limited run continues through Sunday February 12th. Tickets are available at www.lessthanrent.org.

Gracie Gardner's past plays include Primary (IRT/Sanguine Theatre Playwriting Award) and IndianapolisAlyssa1985 Is Getting Married (Dixon Place/WorkShop Theater). Her work has been developed and seen at Naked Angels, Mason Holding, The Flea, Tiny Rhino, The Secret Theater, 24 Hour Plays: Nationals, and YES NOISE.

The cast features Becca Ballenger, Sebastian Beacon, Josephine Huang, Rachel B. Joyce, Dominique Salerno, RJ Vaillancourt, Adam Weppler, and Courtney Williams.

Pussy Sludge is directed by Skylar Fox. The production includes light design by Scot Gianelli, sound design by Geo Gaitan, and props design by Isaac VanCuren. Emily Garrison is the production stage manager. Brian Drummy is the associate producer.

There's a young woman menstruating crude oil. She lives in a swamp. She's in love with Courtney, but her mother prefers RJ. No one knows who knows what's best. Pussy Sludge is a tender exploration of questioning authority, suspending shame through intimacy, and very bad advice.

Tickets for Pussy Sludge are available by visiting www.lessthanrent.org, www.here.org, or by calling 212-352-3101. Tickets are $20.

Less Than Rent Theatre is an ultra-caffeinated and endlessly mischievous theatre mob, best known for spinning down-and-dirty remixes of classic plays. Their work has been seen at HERE Arts Center, 59E59, La MaMa, Walkerspace, The Wild Project, Theatre Row, The Brick, SubCulture, Dixon Place, and Horse Trade Theater Group, among others. In addition to multiple FringeNYC, Unitedsolo awards, and NYIT nominations, they were named Indie Theater Now's "People of the Year."

SANCTUARY is a part of the SubletSeries @ HERE Arts Center: a curated rental program, which provides artists with subsidized space and equipment, as well as technical support. It is a pop up venue at HERE which will feature performances by traditionally marginalized voices, housed in an eclectic atmosphere that draws upon the rich visual legacy of Activist and Counter-Culture spaces.
