Grace Gummer Signs On as MR. ROBOT Series Regular

Grace Gummer ("Extant") has been cast as a series regular in the highly anticipated second season of USA Network's critically-acclaimed drama series MR. ROBOT. The series recently took home the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series - Drama and Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for Christian Slater.

Gummer will star as "Dominique (Dom) DiPierro," a young FBI field agent investigating the Evil Corp Hack. She uses her instinctive skills to try and track down the fsociety members and find answers.

Most recently, Gummer wrapped production on "Confirmation" for HBO Films and starred opposite Halle Berry on "Extant." She also played Nora Ephron in the pilot "Good Girls Revolt" for Amazon, which was recently picked-up to series. Previously, Gummer had featured roles on "The Newsroom" and "American Horror Story." She also appeared in a number of independent films including "Francis Ha!" and "The Homesman."

Gummer made her stage debut in 2008 in Lukas Bärfuss's The Sexual Neuroses of Our Parents and starred in the revival of Arcadia by Tom Stoppard Arcadia. Off-Broadway and Regional credits include The Sexual Neuroses of Our Parents at the Wild Project and Much Ado About Nothing at the Kirk Douglas Theater in Los Angeles.

MR. ROBOT stars Golden Globe Award and SAG(R) Award Nominee Rami Malek ("The Pacific"), Golden Globe Award Winner Christian Slater ("Nymphomaniac"), Portia Doubleday ("Her)" and Carly Chaikin ("Suburgatory"). From Universal Cable Productions, the series hails from writer and executive producer Sam Esmail ("Comet") as well as Anonymous Content executive producers Steve Golin ("True Detective") and Chad Hamilton ("Breakup at a Wedding").

The award-winning MR. ROBOT was one of the top ten new series of 2015, averaging 1.36MM P18-49 (#5), 1.50MM P25-54 (#4), and 2.74MM total viewers P2+ (#3) as well as the #2 new basic cable series of the summer. To date, the series has been sampled 26MM times across all platforms - including linear, VOD, iTunes, USANetwork.com and multiple digital outlets - and is currently available On Demand.

Since the premiere, MR. ROBOT has received three Golden Globe nominations, a SAG Award nomination, three Critic's Choice(R) Award wins for Best Drama Series, Best Actor in a Drama Series for Rami Malek and Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for Christian Slater, as well as a nomination for guest actor BD Wong, two Writers Guild(R) Award nominations and three IPA Satellite(R) Award nominations. The series was selected for an AFI Award for Television Program of the Year, won a Gotham Independent Film Award for Breakthrough Long Form Series, was an official selection at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival and took home the coveted Audience Award in the Episodics category at South By Southwest.
