This September, Cindy Adams, the nation's undisputable Queen of Celebrity Gossip, will debut ONLY IN NEW YORK, an evening of gossip and celebrities and who did what to whom, for four performances only, Tuesday, September 29 through Friday, October 2, 2009.
All proceeds from ONLY IN NEW YORK will benefit The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), one of Ms. Adams' favorite charities and one that she serves as a board member.
All performances of ONLY IN NEW YORK will take place in a one-of-a-kind setting: the living room of Ms. Adams' extraordinary private residence in the historic penthouse apartment on Park Avenue in New York City.
Each 7:30 p.m. performance seats an intimate audience of 50 and includes an exclusive post-show Q&A with Ms. Adams.
Since the publishing of her first New York Post column in 1981,
Cindy Adams has broken more than 500 front page stories covering the gamut of celebrity gossip. Her nationally celebrated column has appeared in the Post six days a week for nearly 30 years ... long before the likes of "TMZ," "Entertainment Tonight," "Extra" and "Access Hollywood."
With Cindy's own brand of biting humor and one-of-a-kind commentary, ONLY IN NEW YORK, takes audiences through her unique and almost-unbelievable journey to become the media's authority figure on all of the celebrity news, gossip, scandals, interviews and scoops that the public can't get enough of.
Until now, you only think you've heard everything there is to hear from show biz's most well-connected columnist, but ONLY IN NEW YORK will reveal things about your favorite celebrities that have always been kept a secret.
Ms. Adams has been associated with everyone from
Donald Trump and
Barbara Walters to
Patti LaBelle and
Paula Abdul, and you never know what stories she may share and who among her friends may show up in the audience each night.
This exclusive engagement of ONLY IN NEW YORK also includes a pre-show tour of Ms. Adams' remarkable nine-room Park Avenue penthouse, which was purchased from the estate of billionaire heiress Doris Duke in 1997. Parties hosted at the luxury residence have been a reliable source of social and celebrity news items over the years, due to its longstanding association with Ms. Duke.
Tickets to ONLY IN NEW YORK are $250 each, which includes the pre-show penthouse tour (beginning at 7:00 p.m.), the performance and a post-show Q&A with Ms. Adams.
