Goodspeed's 'Happy Days' to Help Fight Breast Cancer

Goodspeed Musicals, the only two time Tony Award-winning theatre in the country, will partner with Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Connecticut Affiliates in support of breast cancer treatment, education and research. Pinky and the Pinkettes will help kick off Goodspeed Musicals' PINK WEEK at 7:30 p.m. on April 23rd with Komen CT Night. Pinky and the rest of the cast of Happy Days:A New Musical  will be collecting donations following each performance from April 23-27, 2008. Come on down to the Goodspeed Opera House for Happy Days and join us in the effort by making a donation to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Sunday, Monday Happy Days…..Tuesday, Wednesday Happy Days…..the whole gang is back!  Richie, Fonzie, Ralph, Potsie, and all your favorites from the smash-hit TV series are rockin' and rollin' all week long. The laughs never end in a celebration of poodle skirts, jukeboxes, motorcycles and malt shops.  1959 is cool again as the gang tries to save Arnold's in a sock hoppin', engines revvin' new musical for the entire family.  These days are yours and mine…

Happy Days: A New Musical is the tuneful smash-hit comedy based on the hit Paramount Pictures television series created by Garry Marshall who also wrote the book, with music and lyrics by Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe-winning Hall of Fame songwriter Paul Williams. Happy Days is sponsored by Robinson & Cole L.L.C. and Webster Bank. Happy Days is produced for Goodspeed Musicals by Michael P. Price.

Happy Dayswill run April 11 through June 29, 2008. Tickets are $26 - $63. Performances are Wednesdays at 2 and 7:30 p.m.; Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.; Fridays at 8 p.m.; Saturdays at 3 and 8 p.m.; and Sundays at 2 p.m.. There will be performances on select Thursdays at 2 p.m. and Sunday evenings at 6:30 p.m.. Dedicated to the preservation and advancement of musical theatre, Goodspeed Musicals produces three musicals each season at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Conn., and additional musicals at The Norma Terris Theatre in Chester, Conn., which was opened in 1984 for the development of new musicals.
