Judy Gold's one-woman show 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother, which played an extended run at Ars Nova earlier this year, will return when it transfers to Off-Broadway's St. Luke's Theatre (308 W. 46th St.).

The show will begin previews on September 27th and open on October 12th.  Written by Kate Moira Ryan with Gold and directed by Karen Kohlhaas, the show opened on Wednesday, January 25 at Ars Nova (511 West 54th Street) and played an extended run through March 10th.

25 Questions for a Jewish Mother, which was previously a sold-out hit at the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival, is "a comic's personal journey to find love, laughter and acceptance as a Jewish mother with two kids and a nagging Jewish mother of her own," according to press notes.

Emmy-winning actress/comedienne Judy Gold and award-winning playwright Ryan (Cavedweller, OTMA) embarked on a five-year journey across the United States, interviewing over 50 Jewish women of different ages, ethnicities, and occupations.  The end result is "a moving and humorous portrait of what makes a Jewish mother, a Jewish mother."

Gold is an Emmy Award-winning actress and comedian.  On television, Gold is the host of HBO's "At the Multiplex with Judy Gold."  Her specials include a half-hour comedy special for LOGO, a TBS special from the Aspen Comedy Festival,  "Comedy Central Presents: Judy Gold," Comedy Central's "Tough Crowd Stands Up," and Judy's HBO half-hour special, which received a Cable Ace Award.  She has also appeared on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." On film, Gold was most recently seen in The Aristocrats.  She won two Emmy Awards for writing and producing "The Rosie O'Donnell Show."  Gold was nominated twice for The American Comedy Award's funniest female stand-up.

The show will run: Tuesdays-Saturdays at 8 PM with matinees Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 3 PM. Tickets, which are $65, can be purchased by calling (212) 239-6200.
