Earlier today, BroadwayWorld reported that Thalía and Jennifer Lopez are both currently under consideration to take on the role of Gloria Estefan in a new musical heading to Broadway. Back in February, the Nederlander Organization and Estefan Enterprises jointly announced that they are in the process of developing and producing the project, currently titled 'Do That Conga,' which is inspired by the music made famous by the International superstar and her husband musician/producer and entrepreneur Emilio Estefan. The musical will be set in a way that tells the Estefans' riveting life story detailing their journey all the way from Cuba to superstardom.

When asked about the musical in the August/September issue of AARP The Magazine, Estefan responded: "There are so many story lines. It's a universal story, it's an immigrant story, and it's a love story. In the United States, if you believe in yourself and you're determined and persevere, you're going to succeed."
