Summer on the Hudson invites New Yorkers to feel the rhythm at the river when the 7th Annual GlobeSonic Sound System Dance Party returns to New York's largest free festival on June 4. Lead by Fabian Alsultany, Bill Bragin and Derek Beres, GlobeSonic Sound System parties have become legendary in the breadth of music and ease of transition they make between country, culture and continents.
Also of musical note is the start of West Harlem Piers Park's Lunchtime Listen series. With homemade electric cello in hand, Sean Grissom, who has performed in NYC subways, at the Kennedy Center and everywhere in between, will rock the Hudson with his unique brand of Cajun' playin' on June 24.
And if the music should prove inspiring, jump on your feet and join Summer on the Hudson's new Harlem Dances, featuring the Uptown Dance Academy on June 17, and the returning Let's Dance!, featuring dance instruction with Piel Canela Dance Company every Sunday from June 5 - 26.Summer on the Hudson strives to present events that meet the cultural and recreational needs of the community, enrich the daily lives of New Yorkers and bring diverse groups of people together to enjoy the panoramic north and south views of the Hudson River. Summer on the Hudson programming is free to the public and seating is limited, unreserved, and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Seating begins 1-2 hours before the event. In the event of heavy rain at the time of the event, the event will be cancelled. No rain dates are scheduled. If attendance reaches maximum capacity, management reserves the right to close participation.

Permanent food and drink concessions (cafes) are located in the park at 62nd, 70th, 79th and 103rd Streets. Mobile vendors can be found in various locations throughout the park.
