Get ready to deck the halls, Gleeks! It's a VERY Glee Christmas, and Santa is checking his list twice to find out which Glee Clubbers have been naughty and which have been nice! Emma confronts Will for the first time since telling him about getting married to Carl, coming to find Will plans to spend Christmas alone. Despite Emma's invitation to the big Christmas eve party she and Carl are throwing, Will declines to keep his Christmas "small and quiet". Coach Bieste gathers the staff of McKinley for a Secret Santa, which leaves Will with the task of purchasing a present for Sue.

Artie comes to find that Brittany still believes in Santa Claus after helping her decorate her locker for the holidays. The Glee Clubbers decorate a Christmas tree in hopes of rising their currently less than festive spirits, which prompts Will to get the Glee Clubbers to carol for the school. After having the Christmas cheer knocked out of them by their fellow students, the Glee Clubbers feel even less festive than before. Artie turns to his fellow Glee Clubbers for help dealing with Brittany's belief in Santa.

The Glee Clubbers visit the mall and Santa to help Brittany continue to believe in Santa, but everything suddenly turns serious when Brittany asks Santa to help Artie walk for Christmas. Rachel, in an attempt to get Finn to forgive her, sets up a performance of "Merry Christmas, Darling", but Finn refuses to forgive her.

Will agonizes over what to get Sue for his Secret Santa, while Blaine turns to Kurt for help in rehearsing "Baby It's Cold Outside" leading to a very tender and semi-romantic moment for the two. Mr. Schuester arrives at Dalton to ask Kurt for his help in picking a gift for Sue, to which Kurt agrees to help. The day of the Secret Santa reveals that Sue rigged the Secret Santa to get everyone to get her presents, despite her distain of Christmas.

After the Secret Santa fiasco, Will and Coach Bieste take back the gifts from Sue and plan to donate them to the homeless. In an effort to help Brittany with her Santa Claus belief, the boys of New Directions turn to Coach Bieste to be "Santa" for Brittany to tell her that he cannot help Artie walk for Christmas.  Sue (dressed as the Grinch) and Becky (dressed as Max) 'steal' Christmas from New Directions, only to be discovered Brittany (with a very Cindy-Lou Who look to her), who is tricked by Sue to believe she's helping fix the Christmas tree.

The Glee Clubbers discover the choir room in chaos after Sue 'stole' Christmas from them, which prompts Rachel and Finn to save Christmas for the Glee Clubbers. In the midst of trying to pick a perfect tree for the Glee Clubbers, Rachel and Finn duet on "Last Christmas" and express their feelings, which ends with Finn officially breaking up with Rachel. Coach Bieste, dressed as Santa, explains to Brittany that sometimes Santa can't quite give what people ask for, thus crushing Brittany's dream of Artie walking for Christmas.

After her talk with Santa, Brittany feels like she's lost the Christmas spirit, explaining to Artie how unfair she thinks it is that he can't walk. The Glee Clubbers take to the faculty room in song, eager to help raise money for the homeless teens, which ends up enlarging the heart of the Grinch-ly Sue. After finishing their song, the Glee Clubbers arrive back to the choir room to find Artie walking with the assistance of a new machine, thus making Brittany's holiday dream come true. The identity of who left the new device under Brittany's tree, thus creating this Christmas miracle, is determined to be 'Santa' or Coach Bieste.

Arriving back at his apartment, Will is surprised by Sue and The Glee Clubbers bringing him just a little bit of Christmas spirit.

May your holidays be bright and full of Glee, Gleeks! Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Happy Kwanza, and Happy New Year! See you all in the New Year, Gleeks!
