Gladys Knight will headline the Amtrak presents the National Train Day 2011 Rock'n the Rail Way Concert to benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) on May 5, 2011. The concert also serves as the kick-off to the fourth annual National Train Day.

The event will feature special performances by Boys & Girls Clubs choirs from Washington, D.C., Philadelphia and New York City.

The Empress of Soul and long-time supporter of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Gladys Knight, teamed up with Amtrak to serve as the spokesperson for National Train Day 2011 and headline the concert.

A portion of the proceeds from the ticket sales of the concert will benefit the organization.

The concert takes place on Thursday, May 5, 2011, 8:00 p.m. at the Beacon Theatre. (Doors open at 7:30 p.m.)
