On Saturday and Sunday, February 11 and 12, the Staten Island Children's Museum is teaming up with the Staten Island Zoo to show some love to our animal friends.

On Saturday during the free Second Science Saturday family science workshop, the Staten Island Zoo will be teaming up with the Museum to teach all about hibernation and other healthy habits animals use to keep warm during the chilly winter months. You never know which furry (or not so furry) friend may be in attendance! This free event is sponsored by Con Edison.

Saturday, February 11

11 a.m. to 12 noon, limited to first 25 participants, free with admission

On Sunday, help celebrate the rescue anniversary of Snuggie, the resident dwarf rabbit. Snuggie hopped into all our hearts one year ago, when she was found on the grounds of Snug Harbor Cultural Center. Please join in the Walk-In Workshop and make Snuggie a "Happy Rescue Day!" greeting card.

Sunday, February 12

1:00 p.m. to 4 p.m.

*Come and meet Snuggie at Animal Time at 2 p.m.!

Free with admission
