Givenik.com, the revolutionary new way to go to Broadway (and save the world!) has partnered with the folks at Disney Theatrical Productions to offer tickets to all Disney on Broadway shows on Givenik.com, thus offering theatergoers ("giveniks") the unique opportunity to benefit schools and charities when they purchase a ticket to any of Disney's hot Broadway hits.  The announcement was made by Jordan Roth, Vice President, Jujamcyn Theaters.

At Givenik.com, theatergoers can give and get by getting tickets to dozens of Broadway and Off Broadway shows while simultaneously giving back to charity as 5% of their ticket price goes directly to the not-for-profit organization of their choice.  Any certified non-profit organization can sign up to be a part of Givenik.com for free and develop a new, year-round fundraising mechanism.

In May, Givenik.com and Disney Theatrical Productions hosted over 150 educators and PTA leaders in New York, where they were treated to a private reception in the legendary Ziegfeld Room of The New Amsterdam Theatre, and learned more about the Givenik.com program.  They were able to sign-up their school groups with Givenik.com and were all treated to a performance of the Disney musical of their choice – Mary Poppins, The Lion King and The Little Mermaid.  This kicked off the opportunity for educational institutions to spread the word to their organizations: Disney shows are now offering exclusive single and group tickets on Givenik.com for use as an effective new fundraising opportunity.

Since that time, over two dozen new educational organizations have joined Givenik.com to take advantage of the new Disney on Broadway offer.

"We're delighted that Givenik.com now has the opportunity to offer the value of Disney on Broadway to our member organizations," said Jordan Roth.  He added, "We've already seen the magic of this association by the important funds raised for many groups in such a short time.  This wonderful 'win-win' effort will no doubt continue as long as Mary Poppins, The Lion King and The Little Mermaid run on Broadway – and we all know that will be years!"

At present, more than 150 organizations (and counting) have joined Givenik.com, from national groups to local chapters, and from arts organizations to educational institutions.  Among them are Human Rights Campaign, Dress for Success Worldwide, God's Love We Deliver, The Actors Fund, Central Park Conservancy, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, People for the American Way, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Creative Alternatives of New York, Manhattan Theatre Club, local chapters of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers / Big Sisters, as well as community PTA's and temples.

Those theatergoers interested in becoming a "givenik" and charitable organizations and school groups interested in joining can simply go to www.givenik.com for more information.
