Gilt Groupe Founder Leaving for Beauty Startup

The Gilt Groupe co-founder, Alexandra Wilkis Wilson, is moving into the beauty industry as co-founder of a new startup - Glamsquad. The Wall Street Journal reported that Ms. Wilkis Wilson will serve as CEO of Glamsquad, which hair and makeup services at your home!

Glamsquad is designed for women on the-go who don't have time to necessarily get to the salon but still want that amazing blow-out and polished make-up. The stylists will travel to your home, office, gym or where ever you need them to go with makeup sessions starting at $75 and blowouts and hairstyling services starting at $50. You can use the Glamsquad mobile app to book in New York City and they are testing out a Los Angeles launch.

Ms. Wilkis Wilson will remain a strategic adviser to Gilt but said, "Gilt is my baby, but I feel like this baby is now in college."
