Gianmarco Soresi to Headline 'Breakout Artist Comedy Series' at Carolines on Broadway

On Wednesday, September 27 at 7:30pm comedian/actor/writer Gianmarco Soresi (SeeSo's New York's Funniest, TruTV's Hack My Life, Comedy Central), will be headlining Carolines on Broadway as part of the Breakout Artist Comedy Series along with host Gabe Pacheco (Funhouse Comedy, Secret Loft Show, FLAMA), guest Chris Cafero (UCB, The Night Of, Billions, As The World Turns), and feature Erin Maguire (Girl Friday, Boston Comedy Festival, GSN, ESPN).

Carolines on Broadway is located at 1626 Broadway, New York, NY 10019. Tickets available here for $18. Age 18+, Two drink minimum per person.

Soresi is also a recent winner of the Moth StorySLAM, he will be writing and acting in a Funny or Die Exclusive later this year and will be in Tracy Morgan's new TBS show The Last O.G. Known around NYC as a multitalented comedian, actor, improviser and writer, Soresi is now poised to bring his high energy stand-up comedy and unique perspective on city living, dating and divorce, mental illness and more to headlining at Carolines on Broadway!

About Gianmarco Soresi: Soresi is a stand-up comedian, actor and writer - although the first line of his obituary will likely read, "guy from all those General Electric commercials". He's performed at Carolines, Gotham, The Metropolitan Room, The Creek and The Cave, Hu Ke Lau, The PIT, UCB, QED, Broadway Comedy Club, Paste Magazine Studios, can be seen on SeeSo's New York's Funniest and his stand-up comedy infused play "Less Than 50%" (which premiered in the 2014 Fringe Festival) will make it's Off-Broadway debut at 59E59 Theaters in July 2018. His writing, including the popular sketch series Matza Pizza, has been featured in Fast Company, CityLab, Huffington Post, Metro NY, LAUGHSPIN, spoiledNYC, Comedy Cake, Splitsider, and he'll be writing and acting for a Funny or Die Exclusive later this year. Recent acting credits include CBS' Blue Bloods, A&E's Unforgettable, Comedy Central, and Tracy Morgan's new TBS show The Last O.G. About the Host: Gabe Pacheco is a NY-based Latinx performer. Originally from D.C., he moved to NYC to be an elementary school teacher. He started stand-up right after attending Bard College, handing out flyers in Times Square. A ubiquitous fixture in the NYC comedy scene, Gabe performs regularly at the Creek and the Cave, The Knitting Factory, and Carolines. Gabe co-hosts a weekly comedy showcase in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Funhouse Comedy with Sameer Naseem. He is also the host-in-residence for the Secret Loft Show. Listen to Gabe weekly on the left-leaning political Katie Halper Show on WBAI. He has contributed to FLAMA and was featured at the Accidental Comedy Fest and the Asheville Comedy Fest. This year he will be featured in the Harlem Comedy Fest. You can also see him perform sketch comedy based on the work of school children with the Story Pirates. He has performed internationally in Costa Rica and Mexico. Thanks to training at the UCB, Gabe says "yes" to most things.

About the Guest: The New York Times, Hollywood Reporter, and Rolling Stone all agree: They have no words to describe Chris Cafero. Chris is an actor, writer and comedian living and working in NYC. He attended college at George Washington University and New York University. Chris has studied with Joan Rosenfels, Ted Sluberski, Susan Terry (Voice), the Washington Improv Theater and the Upright Citizens Brigade (Advanced Studies Program). Select credits include The Night Of (HBO), Billions (ShowTime), As The World Turns (CBS), and The Awesome 80's Prom (Off-Broadway). About the Featured Performer: Erin Maguire recently appeared in the Boston Comedy Festival, Laugh Your Asheville Off, and opened for Caroline Rhea in Woodstock. She's been seen on Game Show Network and ESPN. Her first album, Girl Friday is available for download on iTunes. She also recently won the Woodstock Comedy Festival's Five Minutes of Fame competition.
