Geva Presents THE PRICE 2/23-3/21

GeVa Theatre Center's 2009/10 Season continues with The Price by Arthur Miller, which opens on February 23 and runs in the Mainstage through March 21.

Two brothers meet in their childhood home. A wisecracking used-furniture salesman joins them as they examine their parents' possessions and rekindle old rivalries in an attic full of memories. What price has each paid for the choices he's made?
Considered one of the greatest dramatists of the twentieth century, Arthur Miller's plays include Death of a Salesman, The Crucible, All My Sons and A View from the Bridge. His writing earned him a lifetime of honors including the Pulitzer Prize, seven Tony Awards, two Drama Critics Circle Awards, an Obie, an Olivier, the John F. Kennedy Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Dorothy and Lillian Gish prize. He was awarded honorary doctorate degrees from Oxford University and Harvard University. He died in 2005.

Geva's production of The Price is co-produced with Syracuse Stage. The cast features Tony DeBruno and Richard McWilliams as the estranged brothers Walter and Victor Franz, and Carmen Roman as Victor's long-suffering wife, Esther. Kenneth Tigar, best known to audiences as Mr. Kopeckne in "Barney Miller," Becker in the Lethal Weapon movies and countless appearances in TV and movies from "Dallas" and "Dynasty" to "NCIS" and "ER," plays the wheeling, dealing antiques dealer Gregory Solomon.

The Price is directed by Syracuse Stage's Producing Artistic Director Timothy Bond. The design team includes Scott Bradley (scenic designer), Laurie Churba Kohn (costume designer), Thomas C. Hase (lighting designer) and Jonathan R. Herter (sound designer).

The Price is co-produced by Flaum Management Company, Inc. and WARM 101.3.
