The Georgia O'Keeffe Museum announces the unique opportunity to sketch, draw and watercolor independently on the grounds of Georgia O'Keeffe's Home and Studio in Abiquiu on May 20, 2013. Half or full day sessions are available to experience the high desert landscape made famous by the artist who lived there for nearly 40 years, including views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountain range, Abiquiu Mesa, the road to Abiquiu, and the scene within the walls of the artist's gardens.

"We are pleased to invite artists of all levels to be inspired by the spectacular adobe home, studio and surroundings beloved by Georgia O'Keeffe," said Agapita Lopez, Rights and Reproductions Director and Director of the Abiquiu Home & Studio Tours. "This is a very special opportunity to paint on O'Keeffe's doorstep with the backdrop of spring in full bloom."
