Gay Men's Chorus Announce Holiday Concert HOLIDAY SLAY Image

New York City Gay Men's Chorus (NYCGMC) today announced The Bang Group will be special guests for their holiday show, HOLIDAY SLAY! at NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts on December 14, 15, and 16.

NYCGMC is ready to slay every holiday tradition and give your season the gay spark it so desperately needs! We will pile our sleigh with bears, twinks, and sugar plum fairies to celebrate the end of 2017 in style. Special guests The Bang Group will perform excerpts of their remarkable twist on Tchaikovsky's classic, Nut/Cracked, and 250 amazing voices will deck the halls with their astonishing sound. NYCGMC's holiday extravaganza brims with comfort, zany cheer, and goodwill for humanity. The most cherished holiday classics, mixed with unexpected gems, and the delightful company of New York's most renowned chorus, will make your season merry and bright.

Artistic Director, Charles Beale said, "The Bang Group will shake up our annual holiday extravaganza in the best possible way, so slay your expectations and come for the holiday classics you must hear from 250 glorious voices, but stay for the new and exciting material we have in store."

Jeffrey Kazin, Director of The Bang Group said, "After 14 years of mounting Nut/Cracked - David Parker's anarchic, gender nonconforming, neo-vaudeville - nothing could thrill us, or seem more fitting than celebrating our 15th anniversary production with incredible talent of the NYCGMC."

The Bang Group, founded in 1995 by Jeffrey Kazin and David Parker, is a NYC-based dance company dedicated to Parker's love of rhythmic form and is renowned for its commitment to craftsmanship, creative liberty and aesthetic diversity.
